Tried the chizu cheese cake, the chocolate sponge (pictured) and the pandan sponge. The cheese cake was something different, small but worth a try. The sponge cakes were simple yet tasty.

I grew up having egg tarts for breakfast and snack and I must say the egg tarts (Portuguese custard style) from this place did not dissapoint. The combination of the egg, sugar and custard is near perfect and I am so happy to be having this as it is almost similar to what I would have in my hometown - only twice the size, a meal by itself! :D

Located near the escalators at the Strand Arcade, it is in a fairly central location. You can see the cakes being made behind the glass walls as you come up to the counter. They have a few different flavours available and they are different prices, from the original at $15 to the Almond Cranberry at $25.
They come in boxes which are fairly big and quite tall. I tried both the original and the chocolate. The texture of the cake was quite nice, a very firm sponge. The chocolate had quite a nice flavour, although most of the chocolate was at the bottom of the cake. Quite a nice snack to share and isn't the most expensive cake to get.
Edit: The egg tart was ice and did come warm. The pandan cake had a really nice flavour to it.

Got the pandan cake and chizu cheesecake. Very fluffy, airy and spongy pandan cake, the flavour was really nice and you can actually taste the pandan flavour which is not overpowering at all. The bottom was a bit dry but still great. The cheesecake also very yum and got nice texture - perfect treat with coffee or tea!

Brought the Japanese cheese cake it was delicious, super creamy and light.
The staff was also very knowledgeable about their products I asked if I could bring the cake on a domestic flight and immediately he gave me a answer I was very satisfied. 100% would recommend
